Our task must be to free
ourselves..by widening our
circle of compassion to
embrace all living creatures
and the whole of nature and
its beauty.

Albert Einstein

The greatness of a nation and
its moral progress can be
judged by the way its animals
are treated.

Mohandas Gandhi

I am in favor of animal rights
as well as human rights.  That
is the way of a whole human
being.

Abraham Lincoln

If you have men who will
exclude any of God's creatures
from the shelter of
compassion and pity, you will
have men who will deal
likewise with their fellow men.

IN MEMORY OF LILY, SNOWBALL,
MISS KITTY, CHRISY, (ALL HERE)
AND CHARLIE, NICHOLAS, BIG
DADDY, JONESY IN OTHER
PLACES,...THIS GARDEN IS A SPECIAL
PLACE FOR ALL OF OUR CATS WHO
PASSED AWAY.  THERE IS A STATUE
OF ST. FRANCIS, EACH CAT'S PLACE
HAS A LITTLE CAT STATUE OR A
STUFFED CAT TOY OR MOUSE TOY
THAT THE CAT STAYED CLOSE TO
WHEN ALIVE, AND THEY ALL GET
FLOWERS OR FLOWER PETALS
DEPENDING ON THE TIME OF THE
YEAR.  I VISIT THEM AT THEIR
GARDEN AS OFTEN AS I CAN.  THEY
EACH HAVE THEIR OWN FLOWERS
PLANTED AT THEIR PLACES.

Above: A BEAUTIFUL PLACE WHERE
GEESE WALK SOMETIMES
This is Tigger.  I rescued him from a
restaurant where he was always begging for food and help.
He was hungry and sick.  People would push him away with their feet
and say, "Get out of my way cat."  I would save some of my chicken and
fries each time we went there and we went there often just for Tigger.  It
took me over 1 year to get his trust and finally he let me put him into
my car.  I had to sit on the grass near the restaurant close to Tigger for a
few hours to help him trust me.  I didn't really want to be sitting just
right there, but for this cat I knew it was worth the time and effort.
Eventually he was walking over my legs enjoying the company.  People
were staring at me and laughing and also throwing away the food I left
for him sometimes.  This cat is the love of our family among many other
pets also.  Tigger thinks he can talk.  We have conversations.   He sure
believes that  and it is so cute.   He loves attention
and just wants to always tell us how much
he loves us.
